LOVELAND, Colo. — Lewis C. Nixon, 89, Loveland, Colo., died at 3:20 a.m. Saturday, May 13, 2006 in North Shores Healthcare Facility. He was born Feb. 28, 1917 in Veedersburg, the son of Donald and Anna Helmick Nixon. He married Mary Lou Anderson June 28, 1947 in Hammond. She preceded in death Jan. 9, 1997. He lived most of his life in Veedersburg. He was a farmer. Survivors include: a daughter, Sally (David) Harshbarger, Fort Collins, Colo.; a sister, Louise Roberts, Attica; four grandsons, Duane (Lynn), Daryn (Becky), Derek (Tandy), and Devin; and six great-grandchildren, Lori, Dylan, Shaily, Daxton, Morgan and Dayton. He was preceded in death by two sisters. Gravesite services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Rockfield Cemetery, Veedersburg, with the Rev. Linda Lawler officiating. Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg, was in charge of arrangements. – jlr
